Animal of the week #5: Eastern Water Dragon

This is a picture of Emil and an Eastern Water Dragon.  We see them near water.  They live near water because they can swim and hold their breath for 90 minutes.  To swim, their tail moves from side to side like a shark's. There is a monument to the Eastern Water Dragon at the Brisbane Botanical Gardens. I hope to go see it.

  2. Hi Emil, it's Katie. The water dragons are really cool. Do they bite? Now it's Lilly, Once at a birthday party I saw a lizard named the Bearded Dragon.

  3. Clio, it's amazing the type of animals and birds you see there.
The name dragon is very impressive and scary, but he doesn't look very scary. Did you touch it?
Can hardly wait to see pictures from the rain forest!

  4. Clio, How big are they?
This one looks like a small alligator, but less scary.
Agree with AYA. Looking forward to see pictures from the rain forest.
    WHAT A TRIP!
